Jeder Vorbesteller bekommt drei Singles sofort zum Download: "Outlaws from the West" von Woody Jackson, "Fleeting Joy" von Colin Stetson und Woody Jackson sowie "Country Pursuits" von Arca und Woody Jackson.

The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Score wird am 9. August in Zusammenarbeit mit Lakeshore Records digital veröffentlicht. Bestellt hier auf iTunes vor und hört euch Outlaws from the West, Fleeting Joy und Country Pursuits jetzt auf Spotify an.

Aufbauend auf dem atmosphärischen Score des ersten Red Dead Redemption nimmt euch The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Score als zweite Veröffentlichung der Musik aus Red Dead Redemption 2 mit auf eine kraftvolle, emotionale Reise durch die letzten Tage der Outlaw-Ära Amerikas.

Der preisgekrönte interaktive Score wurde vom langjährigen Rockstar-Kollaborateur Woody Jackson komponiert, der auch schon für die Musik im ersten Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire und Grand Theft Auto V verantwortlich zeichnete und dafür mit Tangerine Dream, The Alchemist und Oh No zusammenarbeitete.

Woody Jackson: "Writing the score for Red Dead Redemption 2 was an incredibly ambitious project and I couldn’t be prouder of the results. We were creating a living soundscape for a wildly diverse cross section of 19th century America. After all these years working with so many talented people, I can’t wait to share these songs beyond the world of the game."

The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Score beinhaltet außerdem Stücke, bei deren Produktion und Arrangement Jeff Silverman (Truth and Soul, Aloe Black) mitgewirkt hat, sowie weitere Instrumentalmusik, die von Colin Stetson (Bon Iver, Hereditary), David Ferguson (Johnny Cashs Engineer), David Ralicke (Beck, Sons of Anarchy), Gabe Witcher (Punch Brothers, True Detective), Luke O'Malley, Mario Batkovic (von Geoff Barrows Invada), Matt Sweeney (Chavez, Superwolf, Iggy Pop, Bonnie Prince Billy), Rabih Beaini und Senyawa orchestriert wurde. Ebenfalls mitgewirkt haben mehr als 110 weitere Musiker, darunter Arca (regelmäßiger Kollaborateur von Bjork, Kanye West, Frank Ocean und Kelela), Duane Eddy (Protége von Lee Hazlewood), Jon Theodore (ehemaliger Drummer von Mars Volta und aktuell Drummer bei Queens of the Stone Age), Michael Shuman aka Mikey Shoes (Queens of the Stone Age, Mini Mansions) und viele weitere.
